EVOLVE Fabrication - Revit (EVOLVE Electrical Shop Integration)

Prerequisites

  1. EVOLVE Revit Installers. Go to https://evolvemep.com/downloads
    1. EVOLVE Electrical 10.0 - https://evolvemep.com/downloads/electrical/preview-release
    2. EVOLVE Shop Integration 10.0
  2. EVOLVE Fabrication Data Profiles
    1. Use the EVOLVE Configuration Exchange to load in the data profiles to the project.
      1. Note: Global configurations can be used to apply the profiles to all projects.
    2. Adjust Data Profile fields to align with project parameters.
      1. Common fields to adjust are:
        1. Customer Id = the label for each bend (default is eVolve_CustomId)
        2. Location = specific area within the project (default is eVolve_LBS_Id)
        3. Run Id = system run name (default is eE_ConduitRun_Id)
        4. Comments = any additional data needing to be sent (default is Comments)

Revit Workflow

  1. Audit bends (by area or project) to confirm the following:
    1. Bends have unique identifiers
    2. Bend data is valid and not returning errors
    3. Bend validation (for minimum lengths are met)
      1. Utilize the provided data profile or parameter sync rule to run a validation script and identify any bend issues.
  2. Narrow a view down to the area to be uploaded (or utilize a pre-selection.
    1. For pre-selection, consider creating Element Filters to easily select or isolate bends.
  3. Open EVOLVE Fabrication.
    1. Check the options and ensure the proper profiles are selected.
    2. Consider using the "Publish Date" option, which will timestamp the bends after the upload.
  4. Select the bend(s) that need to be uploaded.
  5. Select Send Data
